چکیده

Flash memory is widely adopted as a novel nonvolatile storage medium because of its characteristics: fastaccess speed, shock resistance, and low power consumption. UBI Unsorted Block Images, uses mechanisms like wear leveling and bad block management to overcome flash limitations such as “erase before write”. This simplifies file systems like UBIFS, which depend on UBI for flash management. However, UBI design imposes mount time to scale linearly with respect to flash size. With increasing flash sizes, it is very important to ensure that UBI mount time is not a linear function of flash size. This paper presents the design of UBIL: a UBI layer with logging. UBIL is designed to solve UBI issues namely mount time scalability & efficient user data mapping. UBIL achieves more than 50% mount time reduction for 1GB NAND flash. With optimizations, we expect attach time to reduce up to 70%. The read-write performance of UBIL introduces no degradation; a more elaborate comparison of results and merits of UBIL with respect to UBI are outlined in the conclusion of the paper.

Pathway for unfolding of ubiquitin in sodium dodecyl sulfate, studied by capillary electrophoresis.

This paper characterizes the complexes formed by a small protein, ubiquitin (UBI), and a negatively charged surfactant, sodium dodecyl sulfate (SDS), using capillary electrophoresis (CE), circular dichroism (CD), and amide hydrogen-deuterium exchange (HDX; as monitored by mass spectroscopy, MS). Capillary electrophoresis of complexes of UBI and SDS, at apparent equilibrium, at concentrations of...

The role of 99mTc-Ubiquicidin (UBI) and 99mTc-IgG scintigraphies in diagnosis of acute appendicitis: A preliminary result

Introduction: Appendicitis is one of the most common surgical emergencies. In spite of the relatively high rate of negative appendectomy, as a result of miss diagnosis, uncertainty of diagnosis still continues to challenge physicians. The objective of this prospective study was to investigate the role of 99mTc-Ubiquicidin (UBI) scintigraphy in the diagnosis of acute appendicitis and ...

Evaluation of 99mTc-Ubiquicidin 29-41 scintigraphyin in differentiation of bacterial infection from sterile inflammationin diabetic foot

Introduction: Ubiquicidin (UBI) 29-41 is a synthetic antimicrobial peptide that binds with the microbial cell membrane at the location of infection. This study was conducted to evaluate its probable efficacy as an infection-imaging agent with potential to differentiate bacterial infection from sterile inflammation in humans. Methods: Fifteen diabetic foot patients ...

An ethnobotanical study was conducted to document local knowledge and potentials of wild edible tubers that has been reported and sighted and to investigate and record their distribution in Pulau Redang and nearby islands of Terengganu, Malaysia. Information was gathered from 42 villagers by using semi-structured questionnaire. These respondents were selected randomly and no appointment was mad...

Tc-UBI 29-41 Scintigraphy Imaging in Preferentially Detection Infection from Sterile Inflammation among Diabetic Patients with Suspected Foot Infection

Ubiquicidin 29-41 (UBI 29-41) is an antimicrobial peptide with six positively charged residues which preferentially binds to the negatively charged groups present on the microbial membrane by electrostatic interaction at the foci of infection. For this reason UBI 29-41 has been suggested to label by 99m Tc ( 99m Tc-UBI 2941)directly or by using coligand reagents like 6-hydrazinopyridine 3-carbo...
